Frequently asked questions
How much time do I have to complete the process ?
After purchase, you will have 6 months to finalize your order if it was placed during a promotional period, and 12 months outside of promotional periods. This means that we must have received and validated all measurements and your mock-up before the end of this period. Beyond that, rest assured, nothing is lost, but your order will be subject to a price adjustment based on the current non-promotional rates in order to continue your ordering process.
What is the difference between cowhide and kangaroo leather ?
Kangaroo leather is thinner, lighter, and more elastic than cowhide. It's like wearing pajamas! We can save up to 3 kg with kangaroo leather, depending on the size. However, it is slightly more susceptible to abrasion, but rest assured, if most championship drivers choose kangaroo leather, it is because its advantages far outweigh its disadvantages.
What are the differences between our wetsuit models ?
The BLACK Edition suit is only available in standard sizes and cannot be customized in terms of design or colors.
However, you can add your partners' logos (optional)!
Both the Mercury and MXRS suits can be customized in terms of colors only. They have a well-defined design and your partners' logos can be added (optional). You can see the difference between the two models in the images on each product page.
The GP suit is 100% customizable in terms of colors, logos, and design.
On every MATT RACING product, the brand logos cannot be moved or removed.
Is there a built-in back protector in the suits ?
Yes ! Each suit features a removable back protector inserted into the lining, which complies with CE Level 1 standards in BLACK Edition suits and fitting suits, and CE Level 2 standards in custom suits.
If you have an In&Motion airbag vest that already has a built-in back protector, we recommend removing our back protector from its location. Please note that for track days, we recommend that you wear a rigid back protector that attaches to your body (via shoulder straps or straps), as this depends on each organizer and circuit. In addition, as with the airbag vest, if you have a shoulder strap back protector, we recommend that you remove our back protector from its location.
What is the CE AAA standard that our wetsuits meet ?
The CE AAA standard is the highest standard for protective equipment. MATT RACING is proud to be one of the first brands to obtain this standard for customizable equipment.

Can I pay in installments ?
You can pay for your order in 3 or 4 installments at no extra cost, or in up to 10 installments (shared fees) on our website via the credit management company Alma or PayPal, depending on your eligibility.
What should I do if the size of my custom suit does not fit me ?
The first Zen option fitting suit is designed to validate your measurements and adjust them for the final customized suit. We ask that you ride with the fitting suit and stretch the leather to provide us with dynamic and constructive feedback for the creation of the final suit.
However, if your final suit is not a good fit, MATT RACING will take care of the alterations. Your request must be made within 14 days of receiving your custom suit and after riding with it and stretching the leather.
Certain measurements will then be requested for verification and to understand what has happened, and full responsibility will be taken to make the necessary adjustments.
Can I have the fitting suit altered if it doesn't fit me ?
This fitting suit is used to validate your measurements and adjust them for the final customized suit. If you subsequently wish to have the fitting suit altered, we can provide you with a low-cost alteration quote.
If my measurements change, can I have my suit altered ?
We can, of course, provide you with a quote for altering your wetsuit or for a new wetsuit with the same design, at a lower cost depending on your needs and technical feasibility. To find out more, please send us your alteration request with photos by email to contact@matt-racing.com.
I already have a custom-made MATT Racing suit. Do I need to have the suit fitted ?
If you already own a custom-made MATT Racing suit and the size fits you well, and you don't want a tailored suit, you can of course benefit from a more attractive price. Ask us via chat so we can discuss it !
I want two identical custom suits. Is that possible ?
If you would like two identical custom suits in addition to the fitting suit, you will receive an exclusive rate for the second custom suit. Please request this via chat.
